Dylan Ribkoff Cookies
I recently posted a set of cookies on Instagram that I made for Dylan Ribkoff as part of a promotion for their new line of men’s underwear. They requested something of the season – and not too girly, of course! After one look at their website, I instantly envisioned a set of cookies and packaging elements to accompany this promotion.

I suggested a theme focused around their core brand and product – Fall leaves, a standout logo cookie, and a pair of signature boxer briefs from their new collection. I was thrilled that they shared my vision, and we completed the look with a kraft window box and twine to mimic the organic elements in their own packaging.

I used an edible marker to write the name on the waist band to give the illusion of the stitching in the real product – using icing would have given it too much texture and taken away from the overall design.

Although boxer brief cookies were definitely a first for me, the clean aesthetic and high quality of this product resonated with me. I always appreciate the care and craftsmanship that goes into a quality product, and that they’re made locally in Canada is even better. For more information, visit www.dylanribkoff.com .

Ladurée Macaron Cookies

Laduree Macaron Cookies
Earlier this year, a couple girlfriends and I booked a trip to New York City for an impromptu birthday weekend. Though it rained the entire weekend (I’m talking torrential downpours, heavy winds, and several broken umbrellas!) there were so many little highlights of our stay. We saw Once on Broadway, strolled Central Park, enjoyed dessert and champagne at Bergdorf’s, sampled great food at the Chelsea Market (the oyster & seafood bar was my favourite), and made our first visit to Ladurée on Madison Ave.
Yes, I was this excited about their macarons. Delicious perfection!
So when I got back from our trip, I was inspired to make a Ladurée-type macaron cookie box set. I can’t wait to try the Ladurée Tea Salon in SoHo next time I’m in NYC  (and maybe the flagship one day, in Paris!).

Gilded Pumpkin Cookies

Gilded Pumpkin Cookies
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’m so thrilled to be participating in the 3rd Annual Go Bo! Foundation Bake Sale. This year, over 407 cookie artists across 17 countries are paying it forward, hoping our creations will raise funds to help fund research, treatment, and financial aid for children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The theme designs for this bake sale was left pretty open: something Fall or Halloween-themed, with one special butterfly design. I drew my inspiration from all the white pumpkins I’m seeing this year – and particularly the Fall décor section at Michaels.

I knew that I wanted to add some gold to the cookies, and opted for the same gilded pumpkin design in light beige and white shades. I used gold as the primary colour for the butterfly so it would stand out from the others.

Office Space

hello baked office spaceWhen I’m not in the kitchen baking or decorating, most of my time is spent at my desk working on design ideas, researching new trends, editing photos, answering emails, working on my website, and of course preparing content for this blog!
Since I spend a good amount of time at my desk, it’s important to fill my space with functional pieces that inspire me. I like to surround myself with a clean design aesthetic to keep me organized, focused, and motivated in my day-to-day. And some chic stationary doesn’t hurt either…
