Town Shoes
Every now and then, a project comes along that epitomizes why I love what I do. This recent collaboration with Town Shoes did just that, as I was commissioned to create multiple designs showcasing the Spring shoe collections across their 3 brands – Town Shoes, DSW, and The Shoe Company. Though a departure from my usual work creating single-design event favours, it was a welcome change of pace!

The primary challenge was picking an array of styles and colours that would honour the different personalities of each brand, while also being mindful of how feasible it would be to translate each design into cookie form. It was also important that they looked cohesive as a set since the cookies would be displayed together. Luckily I was given a lot of creative freedom by the team at Town Shoes; I browsed each of their brands’ websites to narrow which Spring styles would work best, and went to work from there.

I had so much fun working on this project – thank you Town Shoes, DSW and The Shoe Company for your order!

Camel Scarf

Zara Camel Scarf

It’s been a while since I’ve done an outfit post, but I couldn’t help but share one of my favourite Fall accessories – this super soft double-layered camel scarf. Lately I’ve practically been living in sweaters and scarves, and this one is the perfect cozy accessory for chilly Fall days.

The two-tone camel colours are so easy to wear. Here, I paired it with my favourite white tee, grey open cardigan, army green khakis, and added a pop of leopard and blush pink with my shoes and purse.

Office Space

hello baked office spaceWhen I’m not in the kitchen baking or decorating, most of my time is spent at my desk working on design ideas, researching new trends, editing photos, answering emails, working on my website, and of course preparing content for this blog!
Since I spend a good amount of time at my desk, it’s important to fill my space with functional pieces that inspire me. I like to surround myself with a clean design aesthetic to keep me organized, focused, and motivated in my day-to-day. And some chic stationary doesn’t hurt either…

The Maxi Dress

J. Crew Maxi Dress

Summertime to me means airy dresses, and especially maxis. They’re a no-muss-no-fuss kind of outfit and are great to wear for a summer stroll, picnic or day of antiquing, and can easily transition to a casual dinner in the evening. I often gravitate toward solid coloured maxis and dress them up with statement accessories, but I love the pattern on this dress and think it speaks for itself.

Lately, this dress has been on high rotation in my wardrobe. It’s ultra comfortable, with a stretchy jersey fabric that has a little weight to it, so it hangs perfectly in all the right places. For a daytime look I slip on some dainty jewelry, grab my favourite clutch, and I’m ready to go!
